Kapil Sharma Show Producer Salman Khan asks Sidhu to step down

Navjot Singh Sidhu has been asked to step down from The Kapil SHarma Show. The final decision is still on hold according to a report in DB Post. The drama began when Siddhu’s comment on Pulawama Attack stirred up controversies.

The discussion between the senior officials and the managements of the show is still on hold. Interestingly, the founder of the show Kapil Sharma himself has resorted to defend Sidhu. In a statement made to the press Kapil suggested that the removal of someone from a Comedy show does no good.

What created the controversy

Navjot Singh Siddhu, Congress Leader & Minister in the Punjab Government had defended Pakistan on the Pulwama Attack. The minister had said: “For a handful of people, can you blame the entire nation or an individual?”

Salman Khan has been firmly condemning the cowardly attack on the Indian Armed Forces. In a recent report, Khan had reportedly replaced a Pakistani artist from his upcoming film.
