Yesterday Pakistan denied of involvement; Today, takesover Masood Azhar’s basecamp

Amid massive pressure mounting over Pakistan at international forums to act against terror groups operating on its soil, the Pakistan government on Friday took over control of the administrative headquarters of Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), a terror group which claimed responsibility for Pulwama attack in which over 40 CRPF soldiers were martyred.

The move has come after the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) named JeM  in its statement while condemning the “heinous and cowardly” attack in the “strongest terms”.

“The Punjab government has taken over the control of the JeM headquarters in Bahawalpur,” Pakistan’s Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry told PTI.

“The government of Punjab has taken over the control of a campus comprising Madressatul Sabir and Jama-e-Masjid Subhanallah in Bahawalpur…and appointed an administrator to manage its affairs,” the minister added.
